Former US Vice-President Al Gore nearly turned down his double Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, branding it "a terrible idea".
The politician was worried about turning his climate change lectures into the feature-length documentary, but was encouraged to partake in the movie to highlight the effects of climate change and global warming.
"I have to 'fess up that when I was approached to make my slide show into a movie, I thought it was a terrible idea," I said. "I had to be talked into it and I'm glad that I was talked into it."
