Banking shares are mixed. While Allied Irish Bank shares have climbed 8c to €16.03, and Bank of Ireland even more, up 12c to €12.34, shares in Anglo Irish Bank have slipped 8c to €20.10.
Irish Life & Permanent shares have climbed 15c to €14.15.
Shares in exploration company Ormonde have slipped 2c to 16c today as the company revealed it will be seeking admission to the Alternative Investment Market in order to facilitate its intended growth from an exploration and development company into a gold producer.
The board of Ormonde Mining has announced the conditional placing of more than 30 million shares to raise more than €4.3m.
Building materials company CRH climbed 13c today to €20.38.
Pharmaceutical company Elan has seen shares rise 10c to €5.59 today.
