Charlton pair passed fit to face Rovers

Charlton defenders Luke Young and Jonathan Fortune were both passed fit for tonight’s Barclays Premiership clash with Blackburn at The Valley.

Graham Stuart also kept his place from the midweek Carling Cup win at Grimsby to make his first Premiership appearance of the season. Dennis Rommedahl and Radostin Kishishev were named on the bench.

Skipper Matt Holland and striker Shaun Bartlett, both on the comeback trail from injury, were not included despite a midweek run-out for the reserves.

Blackburn manager Mark Hughes called back his senior players after the Carling Cup defeat to Bournemouth.

Striker Matt Jansen, who netted the winner against Portsmouth, started. Defender Craig Short missed out with medial knee damage.
