West 'hurt' over music video leak

Kanye West was left feeling helpless after his newest music video was leaked online - he was on a flight when he learned the promo had hit cyberspace.

An incomplete clip from his 'Paranoid' video, which features embattled pop star Rihanna, began circulating around the internet yesterday.

The hip-hop star was devastated after learning fans were getting a sneak peek of his work-in-progress - but he couldn't do anything to block it from spreading while he was stuck in his plane seat.

In a post on his official blog, West writes, "It hurts me to see the old and very wrong version of the 'Paranoid' video get leaked all over the net while I was on an 11-hour flight and couldn't do anything about it.

"It's just frustrating when this stuff happens because I really care about the product and, since videos never get played anyway, you might as well tweak them and make them as special as possible.

"The version that got leaked from the camera phone last week is at least a little closer to the final product. Thank you everybody for your support but that video was not up to my standards."

The promo features Rihanna dancing in a white dress and almost see-through corset after waking from a dream.
