The loyalist UDA are tonight being blamed for planting a second suspect device in two days under cars in republican areas of Belfast.

The latest device was found under a car belonging to a former Sinn Féin member in the Ardoyne area, in the north of the city.

Gerry Kelly of Sinn Féin said he was adamant that the UDA was orchestrating a campaign of attacks, despite the group issuing a statement denying it had abandoned its ceasefire.
