Export sales reached record levels last year, up 6.7% to €161bn.

The Irish Exporters Association's end-of-year review shows that demand for manufacturing and agri-food products increased significantly in 2010.

However, it says the outlook for 2011 is still challenging as global growth is expected to slow.

The weak euro is nonetheless expected to keep export figures healthy.
