Former Manchester United winger Lee Sharpe is hoping to impress Grimsby Town boss Paul Groves during a trial at the club.

Former Manchester United winger Lee Sharpe is hoping to impress Grimsby Town boss Paul Groves during a trial at the club.

Sharpe arrived at Blundell Park to train with the Mariners after being released by Bradford City.

The 31-year-old will train with the squad for the next few days and could be involved during the Mariners’ pre-season preparations.

Groves revealed there is nothing definite but hopes to review the situation after taking a closer look at the former England international.
