Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a shooting incident in north Dublin yesterday evening.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a shooting incident in north Dublin yesterday evening.

The shooting happened in the car park at Charlestown Shopping Centre in Finglas at 6:15pm.

Nobody was injured, but a number of people were in the area at the time.

Gardaí say a man wearing a balaclava discharged a firearm a number of times before being driven away in a silver Volkswagen Golf registration number 02 MH 7775.

The car was later found burnt out at Shancastle Estate in Clondalkin.

An Incident Room has been set up at Finglas Garda Station and a full investigation is underway.
