Tom Queally will be out of action for about 10 days after bruising his ribs in a fall at Newmarket on Saturday.

The jockey was hurt when Kenmore, his intended mount in the bet365 Handicap, reared up on him in the paddock.

He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for precautionary scans but was allowed home afterwards.

“He’s got bruised ribs, there’s nothing broken,” said Queally’s girl friend Lucy Foster.

“He’s got a three-day suspension coming up so he’s going to take a week to 10 days off. It will probably be Wednesday week when he comes back.”
