Greens reveal Cork transport plan

A range of innovative transport plans for Cork will be unveiled by the Green Party later today.

A range of innovative transport plans for Cork will be unveiled by the Green Party later today.

A light rail system for the city and an improved train and bus network throughout the surrounding area are among the party’s proposals.

Green Party leader Trevor Sargent will also reveal his plans on how Cork’s waterways could enhance the public transport system.

Cork South-Central TD Dan Boyle and election candidates Councillor Chris O’Leary and Sarah Iremonger will be among the party members at the launch in the Clarion Hotel on Lapps Quay.
