Wales have failed in their attempts to have their Euro 2004 play-off defeat against Russia overturned.

Wales have failed in their attempts to have their Euro 2004 play-off defeat against Russia overturned.

UEFA’s control and disciplinary committee met this afternoon in Nyon in Switzerland to discuss Wales’ protest after it was revealed Igor Titov had tested positive for the banned substance Bromantan.

But they ruled that the complaint by the Football Association of Wales was unfounded.
