The Loyalist Volunteer Force has apparently offered to negotiate a settlement to its violent feud with the Ulster Defence Association.

The Loyalist Volunteer Force has apparently offered to negotiate a settlement to its violent feud with the Ulster Defence Association.

A source close to the paramilitary group said it wants to begin talks with the UDA leadership.

The bloody feud has led to several shootings in recent weeks, including one in Bangor, Co Down, early this morning.

The dispute began when Stephen Warnock, an LVF leader and drug dealer, was shot dead on September 13.
