Keith Wood's participation in Ireland's friendly game against Australia next week is in doubt today after the hooker was ruled out of a club match this weekend.

The Irish captain will not be able to play in the game between Harlequins and Bath because of a neck injury that is also threatening his place in the Irish squad.

Coach Eddie O'Sullivan has named Wood in his squad for the Australia game, but it appears increasingly likely that he will miss the game.
