Yet another animated insect story, though since it is written by Jerry Seinfeld it is a cut above the rest and it doesn't fail to amuse the kiddies and their accompanying adults in equal measure.
The story involves young bee Barry B Benson who realises that his job for life doesn’t appeal. He escapes and shacks up in human florist Zellwegger’s shop, where he finds himself falling in love with the human flower-arranger.
Complications arise when he discovers that humans like honey.
There is much to like about the film, even if it ends up as hardly more than a series of set-pieces and one-liners and it takes too long for the plot to thicken into the heart of the matter.
However there's no denying there is some fun to be had and it’s a perfect film for the seasonal market.
