GAA: TG4 commission second series on GAA

Laochra Gael, the acclaimed series celebrating the achievements of some of the great heroes of the GAA, is set to return for a new run on TG4.

Laochra Gael, the acclaimed series celebrating the achievements of some of the great heroes of the GAA, is set to return for a new run on TG4.

Having highlighted the feats in the first series of stars such as Ger Loughnane, Pat Fleury, Enda Colleran, Páidí Ó Sé, Eamon Cregan and Dermot O’Brien, the Irish-language television station has commissioned a new 10-part series from programme makers Nemeton.

To be broadcast in May, Laochra Gael 2 will feature the Rackard brothers of Wexford, Kilkenny’s Eddie Keher, Jack Lynch of Cork, Kerry’s Mick O’Dwyer, Martin McHugh of Donegal, the Connolly brothers from Galway, Meath’s Seán Boylan, John Doyle of Tipperary, Dermot Earley of Roscommon and Down’s Paddy Doherty.
