The latest JNLR ratings confirm that local radio is continuing to rule the airwaves, with over 1.6m people tuning in every day.

The latest JNLR ratings confirm that local radio is continuing to rule the airwaves, with over 1.6m people tuning in every day.

The network of local stations has over 700,000 more listeners than nearest rival RTE Radio 1.

Today FM weigh in with a figure in the region of 400,000.

The Independent Radio and Television Commission have welcomed the figures, saying they demonstrate the continued success of the independent sector.
