Medical Council plan user-friendly complaints process
The Irish Medical Council has announced plans to develop a new user-friendly procedure for making complaints against doctors.
The move was recommended in a recent report about ways to manage complaints.
The report said most people viewed the self-regulation of the medical profession with a sense of mistrust and recommended greater transparency in the way complaints are dealt with.
