In Co. Cork, a lifeboat towed a yacht with three people on board to safety this afternoon after it ran into difficulties in poor weather conditions.

In Co. Cork, a lifeboat towed a yacht with three people on board to safety this afternoon after it ran into difficulties in poor weather conditions.

The Courtmacsherry RNLI Lifeboat was called out at 1.15pm after the 37ft yacht got into trouble in Clonakilty Bay in west Cork .

The boat was towed to the Blind Strand in Courtmacsherry Bay, where it has been assessed for damage.
