Acting clerk of the course Harriet Graham had planned to inspect the track at 12 noon but she brought forward that check after further snow at the Borders venue.

There is a reported 30 centimetres of snow on the track and although temperatures could rise next week, sufficient improvement has been deemed unlikely.
