Sanita Puspure has won her C semi-final in the women's single sculls at the Olympic Games.
The Latvian-born woman, who was unluckily drawn in a tough semi-final for the A/B side of the contest, lead from the start and was 3.7 seconds ahead of the rest at the 500m point.
By halfway, she had extended that lead to nearly seven seconds and eventually ended up winning by almost ten seconds.
She will now race in the C final on Saturday to determine her place from 13 to 18.
