The Italian Olympic Committee has recommended an eight-month ban for Juventus midfielder Edgar Davids after he was found guilty of taking banned substances.

The committee also suggested that the Italian Football Association fine Davids £64,000 and compel him to undergo six months of random checks when his suspension ends.
