The Garda Immigration Bureau is investigating after nine refugees were found in the back of a truck in Co Wexford yesterday.

The Garda Immigration Bureau is investigating after nine refugees were found in the back of a truck in Co Wexford yesterday.

The lorry had disembarked from a ferry from France at Rosslare Europort.

The nine adult men were found at around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon in New Ross.

They were all taken to University Hospital Waterford, but none of them is thought to be injured.

It is not yet known where the men are from.
