Elle Macpherson no longer worries about what she looks like.
The 48-year-old supermodel - who earned the nickname The Body thanks to her flawless figure - claims to have got more confident in her appearance as she has got older because she has learned to embrace her flaws.
Explaining why her confidence has improved, she said: "It's because it's less important to me now. When I was younger I looked for perfection and as I've matured I've accepted beauty is on the inside.
"When I started I wanted to be like everyone else, but I had broad shoulders and long legs and was kind of Amazonian at a time when waifs were really fashionable.
"It was never my intention to have so much focus on my body though. It is what it is. Sometimes I'm in better shape and sometimes I'm not, I go through phases like any woman does."
Elle is proud of her natural looks and hasn't had any cosmetic procedures as she is comfortable with the effects of ageing.
She told Closer magazine: "I have a brilliant dermatologist. I have a very natural face and that's my thing. I don't do anything that changes the way I look. What you see is what you get. I'm clearly not 20 years old."
