The Co Kildare transsexual who lost her battle to be officially recognised as female is vowing to fight on.

The Co Kildare transsexual who lost her battle to be officially recognised as female is vowing to fight on.

55-year-old Lydia Foy, who received a sex change operation ten years ago, had wanted her birth certificate changed to state that she was born a girl.

However, her legal action against the Chief Registrar - who had refused - was rejected by the High Court.
