Saoirse Ronan gives Americans the lowdown on Siobhan, Niamh and Tadhg

As we all know Saoirse Ronan has been working the Hollywood circuit over the past few months, on behalf on everyone that posses an Irish name.

Today, she appeared on The Late Late Show with Stephen Colbert for all those Tadhgs, Niamhs and Oisins of the world.

After she gave the host a quick Irish accent lesson, she cheekly threw a little dig at the world's attempt at our famous accent: “Diddly-Die - They don’t use words, no coherent words”.

Colbert didn’t do that badly in the end, impressively knowing how to pronounce "Siobhan" and not SI-O-BAN as Ronan pointed out

But it was "Coaimhe" that threw him: “Go to Hell”.

Could someone please think of the Dearbhails!
