ESB to invest €140m in Co Kerry network upgrades

The ESB has announced plans to invest almost €140m in its network in Co Kerry.

The ESB has announced plans to invest almost €140m in its network in Co Kerry.

The company said the money would be used to build new power stations in Newmarket, Tralee, Knockeragh and Smearla, and to upgrade all the 10kv power lines in the county.

It said the investment was part of a €3.5bn scheme to upgrade electricity infrastructure throughout the country.
