Soccer: FIFA ranks Ireland 17th in the world

The Republic of Ireland has moved up one place to joint 17th in the official FIFA world rankings.

The Republic of Ireland has moved up one place to joint 17th in the official FIFA world rankings.

France remain top of the rankings, Argentina are second and Brazil third.

England remain at 10th, while Northern Ireland climbed two places to 88th position.

The Republic of Ireland are tied at 17th with Denmark.
