Hubby keeps amputation secret from Zsa Zsa for six months

Zsa Zsa Gabor only discovered her right leg had been amputated six months after the operation.

Zsa Zsa Gabor only discovered her right leg had been amputated six months after the operation.

The 95-year-old actress had to lose the limb from just about her knee last year after suffering a series of health problems but her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt never told the bedridden star what had happened until she made the gruesome discovery on her own.

He told the New York Post’s Page Six: “It took over a half a year. She found out about it when she told me to sit her up, and she saw it. She couldn’t feel it because [one] hand is paralyzed and [one] hand was

too short to go on it . . . Finally, a half-year later she said, ‘There is something missing.’”

That isn’t the only secret Frederic is keeping from his wife.

He refuses to tell Zsa Zsa she is being fed through a tube because it would “upset her”.

He added: “She doesn’t even know she gets food through the tube. It will only upset her. She was so glamorous always, and she is so vain.”
