DFA sets up crisis centre for Japan quake concerns

The Department of Foreign Affairs has activated its Consular Crisis Centre to assist people who are concerned about relatives and friends in Japan.

The dedicated contact number is 01 418 0233.

The Irish Ambassador in Tokyo, John Neary, has said there is no indication at this stage that any Irish citizens have been badly affected by the quake - as there are not many Irish people living in the worst affected areas.
