Shels and Cork City go head to head

Joint Premier Division leaders Shelbourne and Cork City go head to head tonight at Tolka Park looking to take the outright lead in the table.

Joint Premier Division leaders Shelbourne and Cork City go head to head tonight at Tolka Park looking to take the outright lead in the table.

Both sides have played one game less than everyone else but the title race will probably be a tussle between the two.

Already, the pair have faced each other in the Setanta Cup, each gaining one win apiece though the League fixtures are likely to be tighter as both Cup matches were played as one-off games.

Shelbourne have plenty of injury problems as they look to bounce back after suffering two defeats in a row. David Crawley and Ollie Cahill are both doubtful after their accidental clash of heads during Friday’s defeat by Bohemians while Alan Moore (knee), Jamie Harris (knee) and Wes Hoolahan (thigh) are all doubtful.

Cork meanwhile will be without the suspended Danny Murphy.
