Dublin Docklands’ maritime festival gets underway today

Tall ships from around the world have docked on the River Liffey for the Dublin Docklands' Maritime Festival.

Tall ships from around the world have docked on the River Liffey for the Dublin Docklands' Maritime Festival.

The three-day event has a wide variety of free music as well as 100 stalls selling food and crafts.

Visitors will be able to board the ships on Spencer Dock.

Festival organisers said the sight of the ships has the power to lift everybody's mood.
