Cheveley Park Stud are to launch a two-pronged attack on the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot on Saturday week through Cesare and Nannina.
Both have shown a liking for the Berkshire course this summer, with the former scoring there twice, including in the Summer Mile, while Nannina stormed home in the Windsor Forest at the Royal meeting.
She has since been beaten in the Falmouth and the Nassau, while Cesare was touched off giving away weight to subsequent Group One winner Echelon in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood.
The stud’s managing director Chris Richardson said: “All is well with Cesare and we are hoping to run Nannina, too.
“Both have gone well at Ascot this summer and Cesare’s run last time was not bad at all as he was giving weight to Echelon. She she has progressed and gone on to win a Group One in Ireland.”
Richardson added of Echelon: “She may well run again this season and the Sun Chariot Stakes would be an option.”
