Network 365 wins major award

Irish company Network 365 has won the Best Wireless Application Developer Award at the Awards ceremony held in Cannes on 19th February.

Irish company Network 365 has won the Best Wireless Application Developer Award at the Awards ceremony held in Cannes on 19th February.

The company 's mzone technology is being used by telecoms operators worldwide to deliver a range of services to mobile phone users. Key customers include Hong Kong CSL, Cesky Oskar Mobil in the Czech republic, Celltel Lanka, Digifone/mm02 and Meteor Mobile Communications. Another customer is Manx Telecom/ mm02 which is using Network 365's technology in Europe's 3G first trials on the Isle of Man.

The GSM Awards are now in their seventh year and the programme for 2002 included a stronger emphasis on the consumer and corporate benefits of wireless technology, in order to reflect the more widespread use of the GSM family of technologies.

Also at Cannes Network 365 launched its new application - eyeWitness with mzone agora - which enables users to visually share experiences as they happen, using a camera-enabled mobile device to capture events. The multimedia messaging application has been developed with Imagine Software, a developer in Network 365's mzone unity partner programme.
