Police to enter second chamber in Jersey children's home

Police broke into a second underground chamber at Haut de la Garenne today in their search for evidence of child abuse in Jersey spanning four decades.

Police broke into a second underground chamber at Haut de la Garenne today in their search for evidence of child abuse in Jersey spanning four decades.

A police spokesman said: “We have accessed the second room and are preparing to enter.”

Officers are planning to send in Eddie, a specialist sniffer dog, trained to search for signs of human remains and blood.
