The search for the missing Co Wexford skipper and the diver who went looking for him has been called off for the night.

Recovery teams have been working all day in the area around the trawler, which went down on Tuesday, to try and find their bodies.

David McMyler of the Irish coastguard says specialised diving equipment is due to arrive shortly from Cork.

“We will have 14 divers from the naval service who will also come from Kilmore Quay this evening and tomorrow morning we will commence a diving investigation of the sunken vessel ‘The Rising Sun’”, he said.
