Aer Lingus routes hit by rostering row

Aer Lingus has said it expects to cancel 10% of its daily schedule due to the continuing row over rosters, with high frequency routes the worst affected.

So far, 180 cabin crew have now been removed from the pay roll in the ongoing dispute over new rosters.

Aer Lingus has started disciplinary proceedings which the company say could result in the termination of contracts.

President of the Travel Agents Association of Ireland, Pat Dawson said all passengers affected by the cancellations should be compensated or put on alternative flights.

Passengers "should not be at any loss whatsoever, because after all the customer did not cause this problem," he said.
