Gardai are investigating claims by a man that his credit card was charged without his permission for more than €30,000.

The businessman visited a lap dancing club in the capital for four hours. However, after returning home the next day he was informed that a bill on his credit card had amounted to €32,480.

The businessman is claiming that his drink was spiked and he denies spending the money in the club.

He now wants other people who feel that they have been victims of fraud at the dancing venues to come forward.
