An Italian fertility doctor has told a TV talk show that three cloned babies are already in the womb, two in former Soviet states and one in an Islamic country.

An Italian fertility doctor has told a TV talk show that three cloned babies are already in the womb, two in former Soviet states and one in an Islamic country.

Dr Severino Antinori offered no evidence of his claim and revealed no details other than to say that the pregnancies are in their ninth, seventh and sixth weeks.

Dr Antinori said he had no role in the cases, but knew of them through contacts with other scientists.
