The elderly woman who died after she was hit by a car in Co Kerry yesterday evening has been named.

The elderly woman who died after she was hit by a car in Co Kerry yesterday evening has been named.

Eileen O'Shea, 85, from Castlecove, Co Kerry, died after she was knocked down at around 6.40pm.

Meanwhile, gardai in Co Mayo have yet to name the male cyclist who was killed in an accident in the county last night.

The deceased, who was in his sixties, was involved in a collision with a car at Massbrook, Laharden, at around 7.30pm.
