A number of people have been evacuated from their homes following a security alert in Co Derry.

A number of people have been evacuated from their homes following a security alert in Co Derry.

A suspicious device has been found outside a house on the Kylemore Road in Coleraine and a unit of the British Army bomb disposal squad has been called to examine the object.

Meanwhile, the RUC said it was still investigating the paramilitary-style shooting in Belfast just before 11pm last night.
