Wales 32 Ireland 20

Wales celebrated their first Grand Slam since 1978 with a comprehensive victory at the Millennium Stadium this afternoon.

Gethin Jenkins and Kevin Morgan touched down while fly-half Stephen Jones weighed in with a 16-point haul as Ireland were outclassed in a contest which never lived up to pre-match hype.

Marcus Horan and Geordan Murphy crossed for the visitors late on but they never looked like gatecrashing Wales’ Grand Slam party.
