The ISEQ has slipped back today from some of yesterday's gains, falling 7.38 to close at 6028.33.
Bank of Ireland, which announced a 13% rise in profits yesterday, was unchanged at €12.20. Allied Irish Bank lost 23c to close at €16.07.
Shares in Irish Life & Permanent slipped 4c today while Anglo Irish Bank climbed 1c to €26.14.
Pharmaceutical group United drug has seen shares slip 15c to €3.50 today despite announcing pre-tax profits up 15% to €22.34m for the half year ended 31 March 2005.
Group turnover in the period grew by 3% to €634m.
Jurys Doyle Group shares slipped 6c to €14.74. It emerged today the mystery bidder for the hotel chain does not have the support of families owning one-third of the company.
Elsewhere shares in bookmaker Paddy Power climbed 30c to €13.80. Shares in agribusiness group IAWS climbed 40c.
