Italian police have arrested a nurse on suspicion she killed at least five elderly or terminally ill patients, according to reports.

The nurse, who worked at a hospital in Lecco, northern Italy, is suspected of killing the patients by giving them shots with air-filled syringes, newspaper Corriere della Sera said.

The suspects died in a period from September to November.

The 34-year-old suspect allegedly confessed to investigators, saying the deaths made her feel more powerful, reports said.
