The demand to see U2 play in Germany broke all records with 52,000 tickets sold out in less than an hour.

Tickets for gigs in Berlin, Munich and Cologne in July sold out in 57 minutes, prompting tour managers to put on another date.

The 18,000 tickets for the fourth gig, also in Cologne, were sold out within two hours of it being announced.
