Marlene Dietrich's daughter is going to court over a nude photograph of her mother.
The German newspaper Welt and German magazine Focus both printed the picture in August 2001.
It was taken from a book which has since had the picture removed.
The film star's daughter Maria Riva is demanding compensation for what she calls a violation of "posthumous personal rights".
The Higher Regional Court in Munich will announce its decision on August 9, Spiegel magazine reports.
But chief judge Walter Seitz has already condemned the decision to print the picture.
He called it a "severe invasion of personal rights".
"Even when you're buried, you're still dressed," he said.
