Sinn Féin has criticised a statement from the Real IRA which was read at an Easter commemoration in Derry yesterday.

A masked man claiming to speak for the group criticised the peace process and attacked Sinn Féin's Martin McGuinness for recently describing dissident republicans as "traitors".

The statement also included a veiled threat against Mr McGuinness.

Sinn Féin has responded by saying it will not be intimidated or deterred from pursuing its agenda.

It says the Real IRA is a micro-group that is besmirching republicanism.
