The UN Envoy to Syria - Kofi Annan - has said that the country is at "a tipping point".

The UN Envoy to Syria - Kofi Annan - has said that the country is at "a tipping point".

Meanwhile, the French President Francois Hollande said that military action cannot be ruled out - if it is sanctioned by the UN.

He has been speaking following a meeting with President Assad in Damascus - during which he said the country did not want the future to be one of "bloodshed and division".
