St Pat’s made it two 1-0 away wins on the spin as they overcame an out of sorts Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds tonight.

Saints took the lead on 31 minutes, for what proved the only goal of the game, when Jason Gavin got forward from the back and his cross was turned home by striker Mark Leech for his first goal for the club.

Sligo disappointed for much of the match and only created their best chance two minutes into stoppage time at the death with their first corner of the second half.

Shaun Holmes' delivery fell to Romuald Boco but the Benin international fired wide.
