Fine Gael Leader, Enda Kenny TD today issued a rallying call to all young voters, urging them to have their say in the upcoming referendum on the Treaty of Nice.

"For the first time in the history of the State, voting in a Referendum will take place on a Saturday. This will especially facilitate students who live away from home during the week, but are registered to vote at their home address," said Deputy Kenny.

"I believe that the Treaty of Nice offers young people in Ireland the opportunity to avail of greatly enhanced travel and study opportunities in the future, whilst also ensuring that they have new opportunities at home.

"Don't squander this opportunity. Have your say on October 19 and vote Yes to ensure Ireland's continued success "
