Five stabbed in attack on bus in Newry

Five people are being treated for stab wounds after being attacked by a gang in Co Down early this morning.

Five people are being treated for stab wounds after being attacked by a gang in Co Down early this morning.

They were assaulted by the passengers of a car, which crashed into their parked coach at the Merchant's Quay and Francis Street junction in Newry.

The gang also smashed the windows of the coach.

At around the same time in the area, a another woman was knocked down.

Police believe the incidents may be related.
